Description:

Tubular flower. Pale lavender-coloured petal, centre is darker. Pointed heart-shaped leaves.

Habitat:

Growing in a swampy area adjoining the pond proper. This area is being developed as a planned township.

Notes:

The plant is called Baysharam/Bayhaaya meaning shameless in Marathi/Hindi because it needs no coaxing to grow!
