Peltigera canina
Dog lichen The common name for the lichen Peltigera canina in which the thallus is foliose with broad, spreading lobes, and margins that usually turn downwards. The upper surface is dark grey to greyish-brown when wet, and pale ash-grey when dry; it is downy, especially near the edges. The underside is white or pale brown, with conspicuous, anastomosing ‘veins’ and long white rhizines.
Found on a rotting log.
