Hi Paul, my main reference guide is the new Peterson Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America. However, this does not cover all of the moths in our area so I frequently use the Moths photographers group website and the E.H. stickland Entomological Museum. The latter is very usefully for determining which moths are likely to occur in Alberta. Here are the links.
