Common carp

Cyprinus carpio

This small fish had a tall flat body and large scales. It had a greenish color underwater. It appeared to be a juvenile carp.

This fish was in still water left behind by a recently flowing high water channel of the Rio Grande.

I am not absolutely positive about the ID. If you think it's something else please let me know.
