Tamias striatus
This chipmunk has five dark brown stripes on the back and sides, separated by four light ones. The body stripes do not extend to the base of the tail, and the rump is a solid brownish or reddish yellow. The stripes extend only indistinctly onto the face.
Spotted near the boat access at Cotton Lake. The eastern chipmunks are basically a woodland and brush-land species.
