Shield Bug - Stink Bug

Description:

About 2cm in length, papery wings shielded under harder wing cover, intricately patterned, grey and cream, known as Stink Bugs due to the ability to produce a foul smell mostly used to deter enemies. Piercing mouthparts used to extract sap from plants and the living juices from other insects. Accurate ideas on ID welcome.

Habitat:

Found in all parts of Australia in varied habitats, This one on lemongrass plant in semi-garden setting adjacent to dry woodland.
