Description:

The Marbled Fritillary (Brenthis daphne) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in the Palearctic ecozone, for Europe the range is limited to the Southern parts of the continent. The length of the forewings is 21–26 mm. The butterfly flies from May to August depending on the location.

bayucca, I am having difficulty distinguishing between all these butterflies. Seems like there are 2 types of marbeled frillary, brenthis daphne & brenthis daphne ino. Sheka thinks the first 2 are brenthis daphne ino, but personally I find it difficult to decide between them, as they all seem a bit different. Will you please have a look if you have time?
