Litoria infrafrenata
Also known as the giant tree frog, Litoria infrafrenata is the world's largest tree frog, but this individual is medium sized specimen. This species is native to the rainforests of northern Queensland, Australia, New Guinea, the Bismarck Islands and the Admiralty Islands. This species is nocturnal and this individual is out and about in the night after a big rain.
Spotted on the side of a house surround by a large, semi-urban yard & garden, and in close proximity to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
This is the most commonly observed frog species at this location.
