Spotting

Description:

The air smelled wet and tangy, but the mushroom itself had no obvious smell. The mushroom was dry because it hasn't rained. There is something white on the mushroom, and we aren't sure what it is

Habitat:

The nearby trees were skinny, and there was a lot of lichen. The mushroom was growing right next to one of the skinny logs. It seems like the wet log was fertilizing the mushroom? There were no other visible mushrooms in the area.
