Leaf-roller moth (caterpillar)

Choristoneura sp.

Description:

1 cm long translucent green caterpillar found hanging from a silk (photos 3 & 4) in a cherry tree. Probably obliquebanded leafroller but the caterpillars of several species are pretty much indistinguishable.

Semi rural

jprat, I only found a few of these guys so I assume the birds have been picking them off. The bluebirds seem to hang out in that tree so I suspect they have been enjoying a tasty snack!

this thing was also on my cherry trees, thanks for the id. do you know of anything that is a natural predator by chance??
