Deserts & dry habitats
First 5 minutes into my day hike at Red Rock Canyon SP (near Las Vegas), this little bud perches not 10 feet from me for a bit and lets me snap a couple good ones before flying off. They are quite low-flying birds, and have cute 'pyeur' or 'pee-yer' calls.
