Marsh Harrier; Aguilucho Lagunero

Circus aeruginosus

Description:

Several of these live in the marshes, there were thought to be 2 breeding pairs but no idea if they produced any young this year. They quite often take ducks, either from the water or even in the air!

Habitat:

Coastal marshes.

Magic Malcolm.

Thanks Laura, we are lucky here because they frequently come very close, especially during the week when there are hardly any people about.

WOW these are fantastic shots, Malcolm! They are such cool birds, we have them around some of the salt marshes in Essex, but I haven't been lucky enough to get a good glimpse of any. Great spotting!
