Quiver Tree

Aloe dichotoma

Description:

Large species of aloe plant. About 3 meters in hight, but can grow larger. They are called 'quiver' trees after an ancient San bushmen practice: they hollow out the trees' upper branches to make quivers for their arrows.

Habitat:

Arid, mountainous or rocky areas.

Notes:
