North American Raccoon

Procyon lotor

Habitat:

Original habitats of the raccoon are deciduous and mixed forests, but due to their adaptability they have extended their range to mountainous areas, coastal marshes, and urban areas.

Notes:

We know what bears do in the woods; but how about raccoons? Well, apparently they lounge. LOL Actually, this is on the side of the road at a local park. Someone dumped a lounge chair and the local raccoon gang soon made use of it. There is also a large group of feral cats that some people regularly feed. Of course the raccoons have taken advantage of this also.

So cute. So….bears have picnics, raccoons lounge and squirrels hoard their nuts :)
