Spotting

Description:

A large headed ant was observed removing developing seed from the inflorescence of Rytidosperma racemosa, as it tried to carry the seed away a smaller ant grabbed the other end. At first I thought it might be a different caste from the same nest but they appeared to tussle over the seed, as evidenced in pic 5 the smaller ant left with the prize.
