Twice Stabbed Lady Beetle

Chilocorus sp.

Description:

Black beetle with two red spots, one on each elytra. There are no white markings on this ladybug. I suspect this is C. cacti but I did not see the underside (ventral view) to see if there was yellow to distinguish it from C. fraternus.

Habitat:

Oleander bush in park.

Notes:

This is the orbus/fraternus complex. A species ID cannot be determined from external views.
