Large cricket with a shiny black body. Brownish wings and slightly brown coloration on legs.

Habitat:

Suburban yard.

Notes:

These are very common around here. This time of year they can be heard chirping from everywhere in the evening and overnight. Sometimes will chirp during the day as well.
