Celyphid Beetle Fly

Description:

This specimen appears to be smaller than those in my previous spottings. So it might be a juvenile. I only got one photo and it flew to a spot higher up and deeper into the foliage of the tree. The first picture above is cropped to show the fly more clearly and the second one gives a better view of the leaves to show how very small the creature is. But they are both cropped from the same photo.

Habitat:

The Celyphid Beetle fly was spotted in our backyard on a Philippine Lime Tree (Citrus microcarpa), locally known as Kalamansi.
