This is the site I've always used for Dragonfly/Damselfly identification. It's for the state of Georgia, but it's very helpful!

Thanks SO much! I have always loved Dragonflies, but never took IDing them too seriously. I am trying to change that! (I've even named my business "Dragonfly Nature and Science Experiences"! )

Blue Dasher have a uniquely striped thorax. Great Blue Skimmer have a dark node. This would be a male Eastern Pondhawk - the green frons is distinctive.

My only doubt about my ID is the fact that most of the pictures of Libellula vibrans shows an extra dot of black on the mid-forewing's leading edge, and frequently more black at the tips.

I also gave consideration to Blue Dasher, but the pics I've seen show it with yellow stripes on the sides of the thorax. Mine does not have these stripes.
