The situation was unlucky for the deer, which had been hit by a car and far from open space, but very lucky for the vultures that were preparing for their migration South and lucky for me too!

Over an hour?!! Oh, you lucky girl!! I've seen them circling high above and have come across a few on road kill but always on a busy highway where someone was always coming along to scare them off their meal. I'm green with envy!!
I just love'em! It was really cool to see the two of them interacting. Then at one point there were 4 of them. It was awesome to watch their behavior with each other - something I've never seen!

I'm alway drawn to these guys too - they remind me of the vultures in the cartoon version of Jungle Book!
