Yes, although a bit freaky looking, Hericium species are edible and choice. I believe this monster was chopped up and fried for dinner.
Cool fungus spotting; it would never have occurred to me that this one is edible.
Fantastic fungi. 'Bear's Head' lol.. must be a teddy bear on a bad hair day.
