Bufo nebulifer
A brownish flat toad. Broad dark stripe down each side of dorsum, each with light stripes just above. Light stripe down the middle of the back. Bufo nebulifer grows to an adult size of 5-10 cm (2-4 in).
Finally ran across the one living in a hole by the driveway. Have heard it all summer but it was always down in the hole. Just managed one photo before it disappeared again.
The photo was taken with a flash at about 10:30 pm at night.
