Polka-Dot Wasp Moth Caterpillar

Syntomeida epilais

Description:

About 1.25" long, orange, with long black tufts, as seen in the photo. It was moving quite quickly, so I had a hard time dealing with that dratted delay on my iphone! (grr!)

Habitat:

driveway, moving toward the grassy lawn.

Nope... No olander! No nothing---- yet! Pathetically barren front yard, soon to become a wildlife / edible garden!

Thanks! I've seen the adults before- now I know their caterpillar! Much appreciated.
