Purple-stemmed Aster

Symphyotrichum puniceum

Description:

Tall-growing flowers with a light purple coloration. The stems have a reddish tinge, hence the common name of "purple-stemmed."

Notes:

These can grow pretty tall. Some almost five feet. The butterflies seem to like them a lot.
