Whiptail lizard

Description:

This lizard has a long narrow body and tail with small scales and stripes running down its back.

Habitat:

This lizard was in the Rio Grande Bosque.

Notes:

The lizard was eating what appeared to be a dead cicada nymph by ripping off pieces.
