Platalea regia
The Royal Spoonbill is a large white water bird with black spoon-shaped bill. A solid bowl-shaped nest is built of sticks lined with leaves and water plants, and is usually placed in the crown of a tree or among high reeds. Lays 2-4 eggs.
Found throughout eastern and northern mainland Australia
