An errect often unbranched perennial (up to 1 m.) with leaves most basal and a long, interrupted spike-like cluster of blue-lilac flowers.

Habitat:

Mountain meadow on the edge of deciduous forest.

Notes:

Distribution: Italy, Balkan Peninsula, Turkey.
