Black-throated Sparrow

Amphispiza bilineata

Description:

Grey head leading down to a light brown on top to the tail and buffy below. Two bold white stripes, one above the eye and one for the mustache. Dark lores with small white under the eye. Black throat that V shape down to the chest. Bill is silvery grey.

Habitat:

Desert and cactus.

Notes:

Does not look like a typical sparrow, so it stands out when you see it. Mostly noticed this is a morning bird as the day went by I couldn't spot them.
