Versute Sharpshooter

Graphocephala versuta

Description:

This is the second time I've spotted this species in my backyard. The first one in August of 2012 was the first record of this species west of Texas. This is only the second one reported so this species is apparently thriving in my backyard. I am very happy to have much better photo's this time!

Habitat:

This hopper was in our backyard on Cape Honeysuckle. Previous range before my two spottings of this species was "TX-FL-NY-IL / Mexico and Costa Rica"
