Unfortunately, I didn't see any trail this time. I was lucky to even see the snake. I was walking an old dirt road and caught the dark diamond out of the corner of my eye.

I love it when these guys are in foraging mode: mouse trail in front (sometimes you can see it) and rattles safely tucked out of the wind (just in case they wiggle and make a noise).
