Large Bagworm

Metura elongatus

Description:

Caterpillar in a cocoon approx. 7cm long, it was dragging itself along the forest floor by gripping twigs with its front legs and pulling the cocoon along. After I Took a couple of quick shots with the camera phone he shut up shop.

Psychidae, Bagworm Moth. Might be the female moth in the bag.
