Louva-Deus folha morta (Dead leaf mimic praying mantis)

Decimiana sp. (Adult male )

Description:

I just realized this was an insect when I tried to lift it to look what there was under. This mantis keeps the front legs extended horizontaly, instead of the classic "folded arms" position, so increasing the resemblance to a dead leaf (photo #1). Photo #4 shows the underside of the insect, and #5 gives an idea of its size.
