Hamadryas feronia
Dark with white circles/patches that appear almost translucent.
Edinburg Butterfly World. This is a captive bred specimen.
Could not match this one to the pictures on the leaflet provided by the Butterfly Centre. Help with ID, please. Thanks to Rithmini Dinhara and Võ Anh Tuấn for the ID.
Sorry to worry you jazz.man! I have a difficult exam to face by the beginning of next year (around February or March) so I sometimes stop photography stuff to focus on my studies. I am doing very well here, even though the country's situation is not a very good one. Thank you for your concern! Hope you're doing fine too...
Hi Rithmini: good to see you back here again. I was getting worried if you were OK since you have been absent for a while:)
Very similar to Hamadryas feronia, but unfortunately ... this species is not marked in the UK.
Thank you, Rithmini Dinhara...the butterfly now has a name because of you. Many thanks.
