Description:

10-11cm. Glossy blue-black above, throat, breast, & undertail coverts bright scarlet. Female is much paler, grey above & white below with a pale scarlet undertail.

Habitat:

Found throughout Australia wherever the parasitic weed, Mistletoe grows.

Do you know if they eat the Mistletoe berries or use it for nesting? Interesting and pretty bird.
