Description:

Perennial to 3'. Flowers (7/8" wide) are yellow, and emerge singly from the leaf axis. The individual flowers are 1in. (2.5 cm) wide and have five fan shaped, notched, lopsided petals and are longer than the sepals. Leaves simple, lobed, slightly folded upward, lance-shaped, dark green, occur along stem, and are up to 1" long. Stems are erect or sprawling, pinkish, and hairy. Malvaceae (Mallow) Family. Flowers bloom February - April and August - December.

Habitat:

Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area bellow the dam.
