Description:

It is a very common lichen, with big grey leafy-like tallus. Often on the bark of pine trees, oak trees and even on mossy rocks as in the present case. Easy to recognize by its light-grey color and big marginal lobes. The presence of dark brown isidia covering the surface of the tallus help to confirm the identification. Apothecia are rare in this species.
