Rusty Tussock moth caterpillar

Orgyia antiqua

Description:

Caterpillar with tufts, 4 big yellow tufts along back, and several black antenna-like projections.

Habitat:

On driftwood on the beach of the Pacific Ocean. Closest trees were pine and alder; several species of broadleaved plants were around, too. Sitka spruce and Douglas fir is also in the area.

Notes:

No doubt a member of Lymantriidae, the tussock moths, but I don't know which species.
