A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Trachycephalus venulosus
A brown and tan Tree Frog with the most beautiful frog eyes I've ever seen. It had pale blue feet. A relatively large Tree Frog at about 8 cm long. Family Hylidae.
Hacienda Carlota, Edzna, Campeche.
This guy was equally at home on the ground as in the trees.
Congrats Lauren, your beautiful Veined Tree Frog has made the top 10 amphibian spottings in the '2015 Best Wildlife Photo' mission! Rangers are voting on the top 10 amphibian spottings, and the top 3 will be announced on February 2nd. The top 3 spottings will be commented on here on the site, but make sure you keep a look out on our Facebook app page for the announcement as well! Congratulations on making the top 10! https://www.facebook.com/projectnoah
ha ha agree with Mark.... amazing series Lauren,,,, third pic is cool looks like he is smiling ....
Anything that doesn't involves glasses sounds good to me. I've got them scattered all over the house. I used to laugh at my Grandmother for this, but now, she's had the last laugh.
Thank you Neil! Great eyes yes, but too scary for you. :) Have you seen the new surgery for restoring vision (especially to eliminate reading glasses)? A tiny disc is inserted into the center of the cornea, restoring both close and long distance vision. I want it too.
Beautiful series, Lauren. He's a cool little guy. I want to ditch my glasses, so some contact lenses like this might do the trick. Cat's eye ones too :)
