Lion-tailed Macaque

Macaca silenus

Description:

these beautiful primates can spotted on the road from pollachi to valparai.....this I photographed by side of the road on a culvert at 37th hairpin bend climbing the western ghats ....The Lion-tailed Macaque Macaca silenus is the symbol of this endemic diversity of this biodiversity hotspot. Less than 4000 of these survive today making it one .
