Spear-nosed Bat

Description:

This Bats was told to me by PN Member friend Gilma when I visited her last week. They were taking up resident in an abandoned house around 200 meters from her house. They are very small, just around 6-8 cm in body height. They have a spear-shaped appendage on their nose, hence their name. I was observing them cleaning their body with their tongue and that's when I noticed that they have very long tongue, easily 5 cm.

Habitat:

Found on an abandoned house
