Rock or White-throated Monitor

Varanus albigularis albigularis

Description:

The rock monitors are not quite as large as the water monitors, and have a shorter nose.

Habitat:

Savannah/woodland.

Notes:

Conveniently, this lizard climbed a tree instead of disappearing into the bushes when I came along, so I was able to get photos.
