Darkling Beetle

Stenomorpha muricatula

This beetle has a very fuzzy exoskeleton! Its pronotum has a distinct downward angle to it.

Was found dead in the house that is in Oak Woodland - Chaparral transitional habitat. There is another dead critter that was attached to it near the head. This species is endemic to Southern California.
