Four-lined Plant Bug

Poecilocapsus lineatus

Description:

Colorful bug about 7 mm long. It is yellow and blue/green with four thick black stripes. There are two black spots toward the end of the elytra. The head and body are orange. The legs are the same blue/green with black spots.

Habitat:

Sage plant in Sycamore Canyon chaparral. These bugs prefer plants in the mint family.
