Bobcat

Lynx rufus

Habitat:

Fallow field near coastal scrub and redwood forest

Notes:

Watched this bobcat hunt for over half an hour. During that time, it caught two small rodents and ate them in a few bites. It was late morning and a warm day, so the bobcat was panting most of the time and the heat waves made photography difficult.

Oh Donna, I just love your photography! This series is wonderful, I'm so jealous! I saw my first bobcat a month ago. He disappeared into the woods before I could even get my lens cap off! Great shots!

One of my life's ambitions- see a bobcat in the wild. One of my favorite animals in the world. If that's not too weird.
