Description:

Pink hemispherical flower with almost no stem, very close to basal rosette of dissected leaves, rosette approx 12 cm across, flower 4m across.

Habitat:

Karst landscape at around 100m elevation.

Notes:

Identification tentative; http://www.turkiyebitkileri.com/index.ph... identifies the species as being endemic to Turkey, and yet it is illustrated in Hellmut Baumann 'Greek Wildflowers' pl 409.
