Description:

Mainly black bird with a few white patches. A defining characteristic of this sub-species is its black back.

Habitat:

Lives in woodland, urban and rural clearings throught mainland Australia.

Notes:

There are five othe sub-species of Australian Magpies, White Backed. Tasmainian, Papuan and Western.
