There were many of these small butterflies in the low grass beside the apple orchards. The Pale Grass Blue (Pseudozizeeria maha) is a small butterfly found in Asia that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family.

Habitat:

Seen in Kijimadaira Yamabikonooka Park at 700m in the mountains behind Nakano, Japan.
