Magnolia Green Jumper

Lyssomanes viridis

Description:

Pale green, translucent spider. Longer legs than most jumping spiders. Orange scales on top of head.

Habitat:

Found on winged bean pods. It's color matches the color of the pods.

Notes:

Type species of the genus Lyssomanes. One of the earliest genera of jumping spiders to evolve. Spider was on the side of a stainless steel bowl when photo was taken.
