Aussie Bronze Jumper

Helpis minitabunda

Notes:

This male spider was on one of the outdoor chairs in our backyard. It is quite large and colourful for a jumping spider. The body length is about 1cm. According to the Brisbane Insects & Spiders website, this species of spider is quite unusual as the males are larger than the females.

Thanks Ashish, Atul and Ismael. I have to credit my husband for actually 'spotting' this one... he said, "There's a big jumping spider on your chair. You should take a picture, it has great colours!" So I did! : )
