Description:

Pallas' Fritillary (Argynnis laodice) is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It occurs in damp forested places in southern Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, northwestern Kazakhstan, and East Asia.

Habitat:

Seen in Kijimadaira Yamabikonooka Park at 700m in the mountains behind Nakano, Japan.
